Quick check........is it attracted to a magnet? The condition looks too good to be true for a 200+ year old coin. Chris
Its not magnetic i agree i is in very good condition for its age it was in with a box of other intersting coins retreived from my gramps house when he passed away ive been collecting for a while but some of them ive not seen before Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
Start off by weighing it, or having it accurately weighed. Do not let somebody rub it on a stone to test it, or put anything on it. If it's authentic and in that condition, you want to do nothing to it.
No probs just thought id ask wasnt sure thanks for all the responces though will post more later Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
glad i got the truth that's all will still test for the gold and see if it is a replica as people are saying that the only fakes were from 1798 not sure if this is true as definitely not magnetic
