1997-P Dime die subsidence (sunken die) error or isolated deterioration?

    What do you folks think? It looks like the die face around the TAT of STATES has sank down level with the rim gutter. Yet, as the rim comes around to that spot, it appears to slope down, ever so slightly, and then rises slightly back to the height of the rest of the rim. Either way, the field surrounding TAT is very close to the same level with the letters. There is a tiny gap between the field and each of those letters that is the normal height of the rest of the surrounding field. I hope I didn't confuse anyone. I think you can see what I am describing in the photos. Thanks all!

    this is die detoration . looks like the die has had a hard life
