Looking for a cheap hole filler so i can add some uncirculated wheat cents to my album. It has reverse scratches but obverse is very nice. Opinions???? Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
The thing is they look like fresh scratches. Either way. If one had just bought this, what would be a price? Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
Thays what i figured. I have seen them go for a lot more with problems... i.e. dings, cuts, counter stamps. Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
Well of the 6 that viewed this post, someone just jumped the bid up almost $200. I'm out Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
I have been told this over and over.....dont buy key dates unless they are slabbed. Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
One dealer who lives in my area has a book on fake 09s vdbs and has 5 or 6 counterfeits also. Pretty scary. At least if i spend $400-600 i know im getting a real one if graded. Sent from my SPH-M830 using Tapatalk
I bought a raw 1909-S VDB Unc from a well known east coast coin dealer back in 2003. I decided to send it into NGC this past Nov. 2013. It came back XF Details Genuine but Improperly Cleaned.
Always avoid problem coins...especially when they are on such common coins (and yes, the 1909-S VDB is common). I know a problem free example is more expensive...but trust me, you won't regret it.
