What a thoughtful and well written write up!! Thoroughly enjoyed it.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice post. I like your point about not limiting your collecting to a specific, to the numbers grade, but focusing more on eye appeal.
What a fantastic thread and I am so impressed with your approach and rationale for your collection. You echo many themes I've taken with my type collection. I wish I had your perspective when I was 25 years old long ago and not waited until late adulthood to return to the hobby. Well done!
@Jmad and Catbert, Thanks for the kind words. I hope as many people can enjoy this thread as I did putting the set together.
That is a great accomplishment for anybody let alone a collage guy. I can remember how broke I was when I was in collage, let's just say that it was a good thing that Taco Bell had a $0.59 menu. Keep updating us on any new pieces and thanks for the compliment.
Thanks Kirk. I've definitely been lucky to have great family support that has kept me from being a "typical poor college student". I've also always been really good at handling what money I do have so that has helped with my hobby. I'll be paying my dues sleeping on the floor and eating noodles soon lol. I'm fine with it though as I go off to grad school. I've never been scared of hard work. And yes I'll keep everyone updated but things will be slowing down, maybe 1-2 coins a year from now on as I update the box. Thanks again for inspiring me as I got back into the hobby. I've really enjoyed it.
Thanks Geoff, Tallahassee is nice and sunny today. It's funny, in highschool so many complained how they hated it here. The family is from a small town in Missouri so we've enjoyed it. Perspective.
I just wanted to give one last shout out to everyone thanking them for the praise and help over the past couple years. As I enter this next phase of both life and collecting I probably won't be as active but I will be around. Again, thanks everyone for everything. I know I don't honestly know any of you but you really have been a nice outlet for when life gets crazy. Again, thanks for everything and consider this my final word on this project. Tanner
