I only have base metal coins (and some silver) from previous Olympics. I find that the über-expensive gold and silver coins to not be worth collecting. There are a couple of nickel (or german silver) coins for Solchi. I have a complete set of Soviet I ruble coins from 1980.

Is that the Czarist eagle on those coins?

The obverse side of the coins depicts the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation and a semicircular inscription over it "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION).
