Hi I Have A Q? I Have Some Mexican Reales Two 1/2's , Two 1's, Two 8's. 5 Of The Eagles When You Flip Them East To West Are With There Heads Down And One Is Up ?is This A Error Or Counterfiet? It's A 1/2 Real 1832 Z-0m
1832 I believe. And, you'll hear from others, but, my gut is that it may be a contemporary counterfeit. Which may not be a bad thing. If contemporary, very collectible. I recently got a seated quarter, probably lead, and really neat.
Thanks Other Frank ,i Found Tis Coin In My Home Town In Mexico 1979.i Hope Its Real.i'll See What Other Members Think
Howdy helpmeplease - Welcome to the Forum !! You need to weigh and measure the coin to get a better idea of whether it is genuine or not. My feeling is that it is a fake based on the design elements. And I can tell you this much for sure - it is an altered coin at the very least. Neither a 3 nor a 5 would look like that.
