The combination of Chicago's sub zero weather and recent heart surgery has given me more time to work on my coin collection then I've had in years. I'm finding some rather unusual holes in my type set. Of course, there are those that I will never be able to afford but there are other items that I just never found. One such item is a partial brockage on the reverse side of the coin. I guess more properly, I should say the non-hammer side. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure I've ever seen such an animal. I do have a Jefferson nickel with a partial indent on the reverse, so I'm assuming that somewhere they are out there. Has anyone ever seen this particular error? Maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist?!
I'm not an error guy, so I don't have a clue if that is common or not, but I'm glad you are doing well since your heart surgery.
The coins you mention may be scarce . I don't have one in my collection. I'm also glad to hear you are recovering from heart surgery. I had four bypasses a while back and so far I'm doing better than before the surgery. it took me close to a year to recover from the surgery.
I can't even find a picture of one, but surely it's happened out of the billions of coins out there. BTW - I know it's the anvil die - just had a brain cramp. PS On some level I'm glad to find out that it took you a year to recover. Mine was about 9 weeks ago and I was getting a little discouraged that I still get tired so easily. Just a little anxious I guess.
I know what you mean , I was discouraged for a while because I kept wanting to get out and do things that I used to do. keep exercising a little each day and before long you will feel much better.
