There is an auction in Connecticut tomorrow, I am currently checking out the inventory. Apparently the guy who collected this group of coin and notes had some kind of a handyman service. http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=2012932&category=0&zip=&kwd= http://www.auctionzip.com/Listings/2012932.html
I don't know how many people typically show up to these auctions, but there could be some nice finds in a few of those lots. If it was a local auction in my area, I'd definitely be in attendance. It would be interesting to see how things turn out.
I looked through the coins, most were impaired in one way or another. The currency looked better, at least some of the notes. Dick Bacca of "Heads and Tails" coin in Torrington did the valuation, I pointed out to him that he missed an O/CC Morgan, not hard to do with such a huge group. Anyone can bid on these lots by calling in. I won't be driving up there again tomorrow.
