Well I don't think it's VG, more like G, and value would be around $70-$80.

I would have to say that it's worth at least $100

You might be able to get a bidiot on eBay bid that much, but realistically, $70-$80.

FYI, Numismedia.com lists the value at $81.

Well you're free to believe what you wish, but as I said, realistically, $70-$80.

FYI, I did a search on eBay just now, there was one listed, in G4 by NGC that did NOT sell for $95.

I also would question the source for CoinTrackers.com's assessment that a poor condition 1891 CC is worth $131.

    NGC lists the value for a G4 @ $69.00.

It is a good idea to follow BUncirculated and torontokuba's advice to see what similar ones are selling for on ebay to get an idea of value. Also, BU is correct that cointrackers generally over prices everything. Lastly, just for future reference, when posting a coin and asking for opinions on value, when someone gives you their thoughts do not respond back by disagreeing and saying it's worth more. If you think you know what it is worth, then there is no need to ask here.

My self not being into the coins like most here have alway looked at cointrackers list price as what you could buy from Dealers. But being more into the Bullion an watching E-Bays listings, one never knows just how high bids get. Even thinking to my self after bids have ended (they could have bought cheeper from a coin site) why so much. Good morning and I hope you recive all the moneys got for that pretty coin.) Have a nice day all.

I think it's human nature, which intern ends up being a common problem; people look for the highest published price and then think they are going to receive that amount when they sell. When I look around, I also look at some of the low prices coins have sold for. You may be the recipient of that price in a more realistic or inopportune time.

And I was being generous, or so I thought, with that guesstimate in my first post to this thread. [IMG]
