the mint is still filling backorders on silver eagle set. i had placed an order hoping i might get lucky after i received my first set (nov.14th).....it worked...so if you placed an order then, you may still get it. just wanted to update other collectors.
It was my understanding that if you ordered before the announced sellout, you would be guaranteed a set. Is that not true? Has anyone ever had an order cancelled when it was placed before the Mint announced the product was no longer available?
On Nov. 25th I ordered on the phone, and got confirmation on a 2006-w UNC. silver eagle. Since then I have heard nothing..
when i ordered my 2nd set on nov 14, they were saying it was out of stock but would try to fill backorders. i went ahead and ordered anyway and got them. i had no hopes of it but certainly felt i got lucky.
