Just got this in a few minutes ago and snapped a few pics. Counterfeiters not welcome. The hologram is more complex than even the pictures show, plus it seems to have seams around it in the form of little lines. Also, it seems to be sealed with these little "rivet" looking connections. There are more of them and they are in different places on the holder. See what you think and please comment. I think it's pretty neat.

Are those little slices into the hologram ? Maybe to keep people from peeling them off .

The hologram occupies most dealer's favorite location for labels bearing their inventory / cost codes.

Hopefully the holograms won't peel up when customers remove those labels.

Look nice, but Mike has a very valid point. I'm sure they considered this, but there is limited real-estate.

OP, are you really going to tease us like that? I want to see the coin too!

asw.JPG aswe.JPG Haha! It's no big deal. VG10 1812/1 capped half. It was in a regular 1812 holder so it didn't cost me a thing to get it reholdered. They call it a "mechanical error". Nice rainbow tone, though.

Mechanical error: whenever a coin is mis-labeled or mis-identified, PCGS calls it a mechanical error (even though it's usually a human error). They will reslab the coin for free and ship it to you for free as well. The only expense you incur is if you ship it to them. But it can be totally free if you let them take it from a coin show where PCGS is attending.
