i was looking through the world coins on ebay last night, and something about this listing caught my attention. i'm not sure what it is. not the type of coin i'd be in to usually. didn't bid on it it, but did take a look at it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-FIRST-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
funny story about this ebay seller. sells alot of graded world (chinese) coins. my brother in law loves pandas. he happened to purchase a bunch over a 2 month period from mrs blue bra bathing suit top lady. he and i both try to "sugar coat" the purchases we make, especially the price, to our respective wives (his being my sister). well, one day my sisters computer breaks. so she uses his. being the curious type, she browses his history...and what does she see? all of these bookmarked pages of coins he was watching, or purchased, or whatever. his computer keeps him logged in to ebay, so she goes to his messages. oh man. oh man oh man. he had messaged her a few times and my sister FREAKED out. we worked together in this little tiny office at the time, and i can hear her SCREAMING at him. pervert! buying coins from a hooker, what else do you get from her?! completely just lost it on him. i had to, humorously, intervene. on a side note, we both went through a heavy ebay coin phase, and one day we both were outbidding one another on the same coin. coins are a sore subject in their house since. this was over a year ago....
If my significant other browsed my search history, I would probably have to change my name and move to Estonia.
I'm sorry jump off of this but i'm new here. I've got a 1975 D Dime with an error on the reverse of it. It looks like its has not border around the whole thing. What do you guys think?
First, welcome to Cointalk Brandon! Now, if you want to be given information on your coin, you are going to want to start a whole new thread. If you think you have an error coin, you will want to post about it in the error coins forum. This will allow you to get the best help with any future questions you may have. That said, while I am certainly not an expert in error coins, I believe your coin is damaged (or just very worn), rather than an error. If you want any more information, you should start a thread where the error collectors will see it. Enjoy the forums!
Thanks Numis, ill be sure to post my errors there from now on. I have a funny feeling about this one though because the front of the dime looks fine except for a decent offset.
Here's my new favorite bullion seller on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/500-OZ-2014...08721?pt=US_Bullion_Coins&hash=item5d49ccac31
