1957 D wheat penny

    is this a die crack or a cud pictures are not the best sorry im experimenting with my digital microscope they looked better on there

    I would guess lamination, but your pictures are too pixelated to know for sure.

    Do you see how it's peeling off the surface? That means a lamination. The alloy wasn't quite right. There were impurities in it, and it didn't quite bond together. It came apart, there, separated.

    It looks like glue or some other substance has dried to the surface of the coin. I bet a dip in acetone would take it off.

    I'll try to get better shots for you all like I said still kinda playing with my microscope and trying to figure it out I prob should of figured it out first huh

    I am pretty sure that is a lamination.

    I agree with both rlm and jallen. With the pics provided it could be either.
