I just wanted to share some newly acquired notes I have just received back from PMG. I am considering listing these notes on Ebay, and I need some help with the value and listing them for a fair retail price. I am more of a coin collector that is why I am looking for help. I believe that these three notes are the highest graded. The 65 5 shilling is the highest graded according to PMG...please correct me if I am wrong. Also, the 2 64 5 Shillings seem to be the only 2 according to the population report. The next closest recorded 5 Shilling is a grade by PMG at 58e, which I am assuming would make these notes very valuable. The Jamaica One pound is a 64 with only 4 graded higher 2 at 66 and 2 at 67. The Bermuda Pound is one of 22 graded 66 by PMG with 18 finer at 67. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Those are nice notes, but I wouldn't get too wound up about PMG's population figures. As a rule, people don't use TPG's to grade notes outside the USA. So the fact that PMG maintains a database of what it sees come through its offices is not particularly relevant.

Thanks for the info...That makes sense. Are you familiar with these notes? If so, what type of value would you place on each note?

I'm not too familiar with these notes, but a quick search of completed eBay listings shows the 37a should be worth about $100 - $125 each. The 41b around $300 and the Bermuda 20d in the area of $350 to $400. I hope that helps!

Funkee thanks for the info...I'm not 100% sure but I think you pricing may be off. I found a 37A AU58 listed on Ebay for $395 & a EF that sold in Sep. of 2013 for $258. The 41b there is a CGC graded 68 note on Ebay listed for $5,950.00. The 20d I found a 66 listed on Ebay for $539.95. I know that some people list items on Ebay for inflated prices. I am just trying to figure out some fair retail prices for these notes.

Perhaps I'm off on the 37a. The foreign bank note db I have is old. The sales I had dated back to 2011 and 2012 on 37a at $98.98 and $120.50, both raw. Definitely adjust down buy it now active listings by about 25%.

Thanks again funkee! I'm still hoping someone out there can give me a better idea of retail pricing for these 5 notes.

My wife and I used the Bermuda money back in 1967 on our honeymoon. I still like those bills. I said something like I wish I could sell them and from that time on I seem to misplace them. Maybe my wife hid them.

Are you looking to list them as a Buy It Now or an auction? If auction, I would put a minimum of $100.00 on each and see where they go.
