I have been trying to call ANACS since Monday, and there answering machine say's that they are closed do to bad weather. I don't understand.
It's a southern state, they may have gotten some ice or snow. The south does not know how to handle a little cold weather. I lived in miss for 2 years and they had some ice one day and you though an atomic bomb hit them. they were paralyzed and canceled everything. wrecks everywhere
same for the Portland Oregon area, actually, there is about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground, and school has been canceled for the last 2 days!!
Ed, I live just south of Austin and for Texans we are pretty iced in. Can't drive on this stuff, as we do not see it often...Austin has even run out of sand/chemicals to keep overpasses open. Stan :rolling:
As I said in another post about ANACS, I could ice-skate on my front yard. I'm in Missouri though, and we're kind of used to it. Things were only shut down for the first day or two.
Check out the weatherchannel online. Texas has been the highlight on the home page for a couple of days because of the severe weather. ANACS employees are probably huddled up in someone's house making s'mores.
I live in south central missouir and had been without power from friday till today. They some folks wont have power foranother 10 days.
Same here. We're just West of St. Louis and were out of power for 3 1/2 days (they just got it back on yesterday afternoon). My wife is 9 months pregnant and could go at any day. Thank goodness we didn't have to bring the little one home to no power.
Now I understand or don't understand..In Maine that would only slow us down about 5 minutes. We that that stuff all winter.
