Dumb question, I know.

    This may sound really dumb but does anyone know if they made proof 1943 steel cents at all, I'm just curious, it just popped into my head when I was looking at my steel cents

    According to the RedBook NO Proof Lincolns were minted from 1943 to 1949

    The proof sets were stopped in 1942, because of a little thing, called WWII.

    They were resumed in 1950.
