I found an 83 P and I was wondering how much I could sell it for. I just got into coin collecting and this is my first find. Is that a decent find for just looking through change? Anyway some websites say $12, some say $20-50.

I saw a certified on eBay for $125 but it looked mint condition. Mine is actually pretty good condition but it's not shiny. Is it worth getting certified and how much does that cost?

Uncirculated would have some value, but if it is circulated, it is worth twenty five cents.

Not worth much, not worth grading.

The reason they go for so much in mint state is because there were no mint sets produced in 1983, so its much harder to find a high grade one then in most other years, without a picture I'm guessing is a circulated coin, worth a quarter.

I agree with the others, it sounds like a circulated quarter worth $.25.

In the future, it would help for pictures to be posted of your find, both sides.
