help on this canadian pennie

    not sure, but could be plating blisters, or gas blister, either or

    Looks like a die chip, that was only partially polished away, when the dies were cleaned/refurbished. The obverse chip appears to have a 'tail', that blends into the die polish lines. The 'chip' would have been a incuse form on the die, so while they could polish the fields a little bit, it could not have been removed entirely, without seriously grinding down the entire die (remember that the fields are the highest point on the die).

    thanks rick but i am talking about area between the 9 and the letter c and shows on the other side under the letter g
