Nice looking laquered display case. Not sure where you can find one. Have you tried to google it?

Laquer, oak, faux velvet...I wouldn't store my coins in that box even if someone gave it to me for free.

Yea I tried googling and found some that are similar made by Guardhouse. Not exactly the same, but similar. However, now I'm having doubts about buying any of the wood boxes after reading the comments above by wcoins and GDJMSP.

    I wouldn't trust a 50cent piece of plastic but that's just me.

Yes, even if they are in Air-Tites, slabs, or any other kind of coin holder. None of them are airtight, not one, and the gasses put off by the wood and everything else in those display boxes are harmful to your coins.

There must be a thousand threads on this forum discussing proper coin storage. It might be worth looking them up and reading.

Only a query Doug, the only wood cabinet I'd consider using would be a mahogany example from a reputable maker.

Yes, mahogany is the best wood to use for coin cabinets. But that doesn't mean that mahogany is harmless to your coins, it is merely less harmful than other woods. All woods, even mahogany, are harmful to your coins. That's the biggest reason that hardly anybody uses coin cabinets anymore.
