1916 D ? Mercury dime.

    I recently purchased this coin at melt, I personally can't identify the date but i wonder if there are any methods to identifying the date on this coin. All input appreciated.

    Looks like the top of an 8 or 9 to me :(

    Sorry but I agree with jensen, it appears to be a 1918.

    That's a close one. Just a little more wear-out on the top of that 8 or 9, and ya really got me goin'. :)
