I went into the Gold and Silver buyers shop to check on ASE and he was out so I was looking at a box of wheats that were in 2x2's (that were pretty old) the dates were 1911 to 1925. I thimbed through them and saw several 1922D I asked what they would take because the prices were crazy on some of these she said if I bought the whole box I could have them for 50cents each there were 87 total she took $40. Heres a list of what I got and what I think they would grade.
    (1910s 1 g6) (1911d 5 g6) (1911s 1 f12) (1912d 1 g6) (1912s 1 vg8) (1913s 1 f12) (1914s 1 vg8 ) (1915d 1 g6) (1916d 1 g6 3vg8 1 f12) (1916s 1 f12 1 au53) (1917d 3 g6 1 vg8) (17s 1 g6 1 vg8 2 f12 ) (1918 2 g6) (1918d 1 g6 1 f12) (1918s 4 g6 2 vg8 1 vf25 (1920 1 g6 2 vg8) (1920s 6 g6 11 vg8 2 f12 21 1 g6) (1922d 4 g6 6 vg8 3 f12 1 vf25) (1923 1 g6) (1924 1 g6 1 vg8 1 f12 ) (1925 2 g6) (1894 Indian Head g6)
I'm happy with it regardless I'm just curios as to what Ct thinks about this purchase?

The 1911-S should be worth $40 by itself, I think...

I would say that you made out like a bandit. I'd love to see some pics, especially for the early coins. The early dates 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, and 14s are all nice money coins the 11s probably runs about $30 or so in F, even wholesale and you have over $120-140 in 22D cents. A true AU 16s is again $25-30. So yeah, super buy, good deal.

I would have paid $40 provided they are in decent shape. I'd like to see pics.

I'll try and get picks but I'm not very good at it. I would like to see if y'all think I was close on my grading too.

Normally, my answer to this question is, "As long as you're happy, that's what counts." But I just have to tell you that you really scored.

    Cheers,

    Here are pics of some of the coins. photo(1).JPG photo(2).JPG photo(3).JPG photo(4).JPG photo(5).JPG photo(6).JPG photo(8).JPG photo(7).JPG The indian g6 10s g6 11s f12 12s vg8
    13s f12 14s vg8 (may have been generous on the 14s)
    1916s AU53
the 22d's were left to right top to bottom g6 vg8 f12 vf25
Now I would like your opinions on them the pics are not great but maybe you can enlarge them or whatever you need to do to better see them. All input will be appreciated I'll not get my feelings hurt I just want to learn more.
    Thanks

cha-ching, even with the blurry pictures I can tell that the 16s is probably an Au55, my only concern is on the coloration on the reverse, whether or not it is something clinging to the coin.
