Yeah. Going for common date trades in AU condition. Since any good MS trades go for a grand or more each, this is the best way of getting a nice coin for me.

 

I just don't see how it was graded AU-55 as from the sellers' photographs it looks like it should have been at least an AU-58 if it was indeed circulated. I'll see if I can take better pictures of it once I have it in hand. I will probably send this in to CAC since it looks like a very good candidate for at least a green sticker.

 

Here one I just made a trade for.1917 /1 Standing liberty quarter one of the best silver coins ever made.
That is my opinion.

 

The SLQ is one of my all-time favorites. Unfortuately, I can remember spending them as a kid.

I did to but only the very worn ones. I had a paper route one person always used Stq to pay me.

I'm totally with you on the au trades I got 4 in au one in xf-45 one in 63 one in pf 61 and 2 at pcgs now I'm guessing vf 20 (which I'll sell ) want to get it cert first and one at xf-45 but well see maybe ill get lucky and they'll grade em higher

 

Man that is pretty! I am still trying to find one of these for my collection but mine will be in the AG to G condition since that is where my coin budget is at lol. Sure is nice seeing these coins out there though.

 

Budget are one big pain in the ole assets . I am just lucky grandparents owned a bank.and grandma would bring me bags home on weekends . So I wouldn't hang out with the beatnicks .so I have had trade off or sold some of my 2-+of..

 

I ordered a couple of coins off of ebay, they were both sent out today:

I bought $35.00 face value of Washington quarters yesterday and found a VF 1959-D and an XF 1961-D with repunched mint marks and two AU 1964's with doubled die reverses. One has the two T's in STATES, the AR of QUARTER and DOLLA in DOLLAR clearly doubled. The other one has the first T in STATES, all of QUARTER and DO of DOLLAR DOUBLED. The eagle's neck from under the beak to the shoulder is clearly doubles as is the right wing on the left side of the reverse from the N in UNITED to the wing tip. It also has a die chip on the back of the eagle's head.

Unfortunately I can't get clear enough photos of these details with the camera I have. All of these diagnostics were clearly visible using a 10X loupe.

I don't know what the market is for coins like these raw so if anyone knows that can enlighten me I would appreciate it.
