I picked up an 1840 French 5 Franc coin and when I got home I noticed that it had the word "BULL" counterpunched into the reverse below the date. Has anyone heard of this before or know what it means?

If you could post a picture kolhoznik I'd like to take a look at it. It's probably just someone's name but also could be a political statement of some sort. It's not listed in my references.
