I've been finding the behind the ear hair lines and the doubled lobe DDOs on a variety of the states at a rate of probably near 1 in 40. Ive also found quite a few of the recognized DDRs(minn, new mex., few others) at a lesser rate. Most are listed on Wexler but a few are not. Are these things everywhere? What should I do with them because they're bound to start piling up

Find some Washington D.C. Doubled Die Reverses in circulation, then we'll really be talking brass tax!

I'd like to hear more about this. Are these proofs ? Do you have a photo of the DDR ?

    At the rate of 1 in 40, I wouldn't think they'd carry a premium.

I look hard and I have found 2 Wyoming DDRs & 1 Wyoming DDO (ear). South Carolina must not have as many as your location. I wish it did! LOL!

Gladly Dave, these are pretty interesting varieties. The 2009-D Washington D.C. DDR#1 is probably the biggest variety in the state/territory quarter series. As you can tell from the file photo below, there's a distinct clockwise spread in "ELL" in Ellington and the black piano keys in the same spread. These are business strike coins, so they can be found in circulation if you're lucky. BU examples have sold in the past for $1000-$2000. So they give you an idea of the rarity just by previous auction closes.

I do look pretty hard too and get amped when I find them. Ive been going at a pretty hard pace on the states over the past 2 months up here in Buffalo, ny. 3 minn ddr, 3 nc ddo(behind ear) NM DDR, NM OBV DIE CLASH, VA DDO off the top of my head.
