Hmmmmm, 0.1 gram off . . . . Can you think of any issue (foreign or domestic) Canada minted around that time with a 3.14 gram mass?
My best thoughts are normal wear of the coin that has shaved off 0.1-grams. It could also be an out of calibration scale but I'm guessing on door #1. Door #3 is a fake but who would fake something worth a cent?
i have worse coins then this are more wear on them they all come up to its normal weight,,i have coins that go up a number or down one ,but this one is consistent i could be a thinner planchet not sure
Comparing with a 1944 US cent at 3.11 grams, the US tolerance was about 0.13 grams. If similar tolerance was in Canada ( I don't have references), it would be within tolerances even if UNC, take off a very little for wear and still OK.
