when i was coin roll hunting the other day i came across 2 interesting dollar coins. one is a 2010-D Sacagawea with weak edge lettering, and the other is a Grover Cleveland 2nd term with partial edge lettering. i want to know if these have any real value to them, i couldn't find eBay listings. both coins are BU, but the Cleveland has some discoloration on the reverse. i would post pictures but i dont have a camera :(.

The 2010-D isn't too rare with 14,000,000 produced. In BU ndition, I'm thinking that it is worth about $1.50 to the right buyer. The 2nd term of Grover Cleveland is a little more rare at 3,920,000 produced. The discoloration will probably reduce its value to around a buck. They are fun to fill slots but their value is currently about face value. Some of us think that they will increase in value over time but that time may be after my death.

I'm finding a lot of these coins with weak edge lettering. They may be rare but I'm thinking not.

Weak edge lettering is not rare. And I need abetter description on the partial edge lettering piece. What is missing? Is the rest of the edge clear?

Inflation. A dollar isn't worth what it used to.

It sounds like it's circulated or machine wrapping damaged. The Grover 2s are still available from the US Mint (from what I recall), so I'd say any you find in circulation are worth face.
