Oddnumistics24 Collector of the odd and wierd

Hey everyone! I decided the other day that I wanted to contribute more to the site so I started my own coin collecting basics channel. It's not much yet but I am hoping to make it better. I know that when I started collecting that I had no idea where to start, so I am going off that basis. If you have time to check it out and give me some "constructive" criticism, I would great appreciate it. I also make reference to the site so that more people will check it out. The link for my channel is below!

Sorry I had to remove your url. Self promotion is not allowed in postings. Your url can be put into your footer ( signature) section if you wish. Forum rules.

I don't get it. You say that you want to contribute more to the site, so you start your own site. I noticed that we joined here at about the same time. I've logged almost 13,000 posts, and you've logged 45. Hmmmmm?

Well as I stated I was looking for constructive criticism but I guess that's too much to ask from some members. Maybe some other members with more to actually contribute to this post will chime in eventually.

Even though it's true that this site probably has more information than you will ever cover on your videos, it's in video form so that's different. I was curious to see if you placed ads on your video, but didn't see any so that's cool. There are some people who pretend to want to be helpful with own channel or site, but just looking to make a buck. That doesn't appear to be the case here (not yet at least).

The video you linked is certainly for beginners. Chances are if someone's on this site they know the basics (like your rule #1 to not clean coins). There's also a million other videos and websites on "coin collecting basics". You may want to consider doing more advanced/niche videos. Such as focusing on Seated Liberty Quarters for example. My suggestion is go with something you like.

Lastly, you should not use profanity. You dropped an F-bomb at 3:47 of your video. I personally don't have a problem with it, but others very well might. Especially if children are watching.

Thanks so much for the heads up. I didn't realize I did that and I really need more people like you giving me detailed criticism. I will be addressing that issue that you mentioned and maybe as the channel develops I will make more niche videos. As far as John's comment goes, I was attempting to make it light heated and funny. However I realize that my voice overs are kinda horrible and I will be now one using some pro sound blurbs. Now I got my link taken down by a Mod so I will be adding it to my profile info if anyone else cares to give me a hand in making my vid's better.
