My little coin collection...

About a year ago, a colleague introduced to coin collecting. He was an expert taler collector while I knew some things about coins but not a lot. I joined this site and others shortly after that. I did a lot more reading than posting since I was relatively new to collecting. My friend taught me everything he knew about collecting and guided me on a good path. At first, I didn't really have any theme in mind so I was all over the place. After a few weeks I started collecting Polish coins. Most of my family is from Poland so I figured I would learn some of my heritage while collecting coins as well. While collecting Polish, I grew a passion for colorful coins. I guess I'm a sucker for eye candy. As I quickly learned, the more colorful the coin was the higher the price tag. I don't have a collection anywhere near the members of this board but I thought it would be good to start my own webpage. This page would also help me keep track of my coins and to show my family and friends my coins.

I'm still tinkering with some options with the site so this is still a work in progress. I'll update the site as new additions come in.

    Best,

Very nice collection! I like the way you set up the web page. I really like the 1927 5 Lire from Italy.

Yes, very nice. Since it doesn't seem possible to click on the smaller coin image to enlarge it, my suggestion would be to add the photo number at the beginning of each coin description. Would make it easier to find the coin one wants to view up close.

For example, this 10zł should be Nr.43 (it is also a 1939 and it's Piłsudski/Pilsudski)...

I would say you started out quite well. I like the website, too, particularly the antique map background.
