Dimes receive a lot of respect from me if their flowing hair draped or capped bust or liberty seated nickels not so much half dimes tho!!

I'm not a fan of the Kennedy Half Dollar. THe half would be a great coin for collectors if the would change the design on it annually maybe even to the point of the early commes. and strike it in 90% silver.

We are fortunate that the presidental dollar coins did not become popular,
    at least in one respect.

Some business owners would have posted signs saying:

We refuse to accept the following presidental dollar coins:
(Followed by a list of names)

    :)

Is this true? I tried to pay with my pizza with money including about $3 in pennies and they refused to take them. I told the guy that it was illegal to refuse them, which I wasn't 100% sure of.

My least favorite by far is the nickel. Why is Jefferson's ghost looking at me, and could they have found a less flattering picture of him? It's creepy.

I like the dime, only because it is old school and reminds me of the classic 1946-1964 silver dimes.

    I was wrong on this.
Actually, there is no law forcing anyone to accept legal tender. This link below is to a very good article about the legal tender status of the various U. S. coins since 1793.
