i have found over 60 pennies all with same error

would this be considered a varieties for this year.there the chip or/extra metal on queens forehead and flaw planchet on queens bust,,my local dealer says it is ,any ideas ,he also says this is not a die chip

I would say more of a die stage than variety, but if you get nitpicky, I guess it could be considered that. Pretty cool either way.

thanks it just all are in the same area these were in a full bag that i bought of the same year

 

this is die chips and I know what you mean by saying you have over 60 from the same die. is easy to find coins from the same die if you are looking in a bag of newly minted coins or a full box of rolls of coins . I have many rolls of coins from the same dies saved up.
