Looks recessed, and if so, it's most likely PMD.

I'm not so sure. It looks like it could be a clash.

what ever someone is willing to pay, I'd say pretty rare, hopefully someone else will show up, now that we know its number, for the mad clash

A 1983 nickel that doesn't have a strong if clash as yours sold for $5 on ebay. Beyond that I dunno.

I agree with a clash because the letters are so well formed over it . If it was PMD the lettering would be smashed too . IMHO .

Actually, if you closely compare, the OP's coin does not match (obv or rev) to the link you've provided, or to any others (ADC-5c-1983-01 through 04) presently listed on the site. As it appears to be unlisted, if interested, perhaps he can contact and/or submit to the gentlemen responsible for attributing such coins.

    Cool find.

It's not the same. If you compare the reverse of both coins, look at the clash marks at the M, the eye area from the obverse is shifted slightly. I vote new one also. Get in touch with BJ Neff. I'm sure they would love to add this one. It's a strong example.

I don't know a lot about how they register clashes, his just looks more progressed, almost like staging, but again, I don't know a lot on clashes

No, it is definitely not the same. Again, if you take the time to look closely, you will certainly see the clear and unarguable differences in placement.
