This is another NYINC new purchase. It is the first coin in my collection from Aeolis. This coin was not on my hit-list but I was certainly drawn to its beauty. Please post em if you got em!

I love these big lumps of silver. They are very satisfying to hold.

Your Kyme coins & photos are great! I should apologize to the coin Gods for my poor photos in this case. My new Kyme coin should really be photographed by an expert. In hand, it is quite flashy and not well represented by my lifeless pics.

These coins tend to be of a high artistic quality. The flans are generally quite large ranging from around 29mm to over 33mm. They seem to have shaped the blanks flans to allow for a high relief portrait, which is something that these all seem to share. They are generally well centred and well struck which all adds to their general eye appeal. The coins can exhibit some flaws such as on my second coin, where you can clearly see a break in the die on the cheek of Kyme, another on her lip and another forming in the filed in front of the portrait. These can be seen to develop over time when you examine other examples from this obverse die.

I wasn't satisfied with my first photo so I snapped another photo today. This time the coin is photographed on my office desk. There is fluorescent lighting about 5 ft above the desk. Here is the new photo.
