Hi! I found a 1990 Lincoln cent without "s" mark. It is most likely a proof coin. I heard it is highly valuable. Where should I go to determine the value of the coin? If the coin is really worth much, where should I sell it? Thank you so much, Squonk
to CoinTalk squonk. I've given your post its own thread in the correct forum. Attaching it to an old thread is not a good idea. Your coin is either worth well over $1,000, or 1-10¢ depending on grade. There were more than 6.8-billion cents minted at Philadelphia that year with no mint mark. There were also nearly 4-million proofs minted at San Francisco, of which a very small percentage had no S mint mark. Statistically of course, the odds are very great that you have a Philadelphia coin. In addition, there are a lot of S-mark coins which have had the mint mark removed by scammers. Please post a clear picture of both the full obverse, and the mint mark area, of your coin. There are expert members who may be able to determine what you really have, and its grade. "It is most likely a proof coin." Sorry, as Roy said, it's most definently a common cent. For you too find a proof penny in circulation, that just happens to be 1990, and also happenes to be the very rare version of the 1990 proof, is just not going to happen.
Thanks for the welcomes and the information I attached 2 photos of the coin. I dont have my camera with me right now, but if it is necessary I will make more pictures today afternoon. In the photos the coin seems very gold-yellow-ish, but that's because of what light I used.

Thanks! I just thought it might be a proof coin because: - it has different edge than the rest of the one cents (it is "deeper") - it has shaper design - it has different color But I'm really new to the coins so thanks for help!
