A new emperor I needed. I dont own too many tetradrachms either so its nice to have a hefty ancient for once & good silver.

If I have a choice of coin I almost always choose the tetradrachm. They seem to be the coins that have reached out to me. I love how eastern this coin is. You usually see Antioch mint tets, this is cool.

Great coin Mat, i may have to go with a Tet. of Otho, these seem a little cheaper.

    ∆ΗΜΑΡΧΙΚΗΣ ΕΞΟΥCΙΑC(∆ΗΜΑΡΧ ΕΞ) = Tribunicia Potestas
ΥΠΑΤΟC= Consul (followed by the number of terms served)
    Edit:
Sorry for the offense. By REV. LEG? I thought you wanted to know what the letters meant so I answered a question not asked. Do note that the reverse legend as quoted does leave out the Eta in ∆ΗΜΑΡΧ.

I still don't know what was meant by REV. LEG? as part of the quoted copy from the seller unless he was looking for the animal leg shown on coins of this style from Antioch but not Carrhae which used the crescent mintmark. I don't have a Macrinus Antioch to show the difference but here is a Caracalla with leg. Notice also that Caracalla was COS IIII so the reverse legend is modified to have a delta at the end. Macrinus did not need a numeral for the first consulship.
