I have bought a beautiful 1920 SL quarter (AU55) in a common ANACS slab with yellow label, cert ID 4674574. However, when I want to look it up here http://anacs.inetlogic.com/ the search returns the following message: Please contact Customer Service for Certification Information I have sent an email to ANACS some time ago, but they've never replied. Any suggestions? Thanks, Michael
Pictures won't do any good as they are too easily manipulated. If ANACS won't respond to emails then send them the coin for authentication review.
if the coin has been recently graded by anacs it may not be listed yet, i had them grade a coin for me and i got that same message for like 2 weeks after i got the coin back...
1) I expect a company/organization to reply to emails directed at support@xyz.com and I preferred to e-mail them so they have all the data they need. does this make sense? 2) e-mail is preferred over phone as I am based in Europe, but yes I could still call at midnight that's right 3) it must have been graded some time ago as I bought the certified coin like 2-3 months ago 4) apparently the ANACS web site differs from NGC/PCGS as there doesn't seem to be a direct link to each coin So when posting my question actually I thought maybe others made similar experiences and would share. Thanks to Doug for suggesting the authentication review, that seems to be an option. Some pics of the coin below... I have compared the slab to other ANACS slabs and can't really spot any differences.
None of the TPG's are very good about replying to emails. You'll get much better results with a phone call.
I have received an answer: 'I can confirm the coin is ANACS certified. I’ve sent a request to Tech Support to have it added to the look up.' ...what has been done and the lookup is working now. DB glitch. Case closed.
