Nice coin! It's definitely got some wear/corrosion to it.. but a beauty never the less!

I'm a novice to Large Cent varieties... however... I'm learning more and more each day. After carefully examining your coin, and comparing it to the Heritage Auction coin varieties, I think I have it narrowed down.

1st... It's definitely a Style II hair. That tells us that it has to be a Sheldon S-165 and higher.

2nd...The 8 looks very narrow/small. If that is correct, that narrows us down to a S168-187.

Since there appears to be no markings that I can see on your coin to help in assistance, I went solely based on the Liberty position to the Hair on the Obverse, and the Lettering with leave and berry position on the Reverse.

I narrowed it down to either an S-185 or an S-187. Based on the characteristics I could see, my opinion would be it's the S-185 (Style II hair - Small 8 - R2).

Again... I'm a novice.. so I'll be curious to see the input of the pros (such as Marshall and Condor to name just a few on this site!).
