I finally foun a FH from Trier (with a mint mark) and got it out of the mail box today. It's definitely one of the more scarcer mints to find, and worth (to me) the buy it now price rather than waiting to bid. I'm still getting used to my camera, but this is also a coin that doesnt like its pic being taken. It looks a lot better in hand. I'd like to get and early issue of Rome ( perhaps Doug will post his) and maybe a nice example from Amiens. After that I'd like to get mre from Antioch and Arles (ARL not CON)

I also picked up this 2 at the local shop. The first a FH from Arles (CON instead or ARL) One I need for me collection, but was a low priority. The other, Claudius II. I had traded all I had before to get my As of Agrippa.

The reverse detail of the new FH is pretty darn good, but I like the portrait on your previous coin.

Always nice to add another specimen to a building set, even better when its upgraded in one form or another. Looks like your getting the hang of the camera a bit.

I like the portrait on the CII. Looks like he's peaking out of the corner of his eye.

Of course I would rather have nice coins but these ghosts of former glory are what I have found. Antioch is a lot easier to find and come is FH3 and FH4 from 15 workshops. That is a lot of coins if you are trying for a set. I'm not but I still pick up decent ones. Most recently is this shop 14 ANDI FH3 with uneven tone on the reverse but good detail.

Antioch was what got me into these when I was visiting with Victor Failmezger. That led to me doing the photos for his book. Several of the horsemen in the book are my coins. It also supplied the material for the very first of my web pages in 1997.
