This too could be 1944 DDO?

    Happy, that looks like a normal coin with re-engraving on the date.

    Honestly I don't see any doubling in that photo.

    Sorry, the doubled die for that coin is actually pointing to a doubled eyelid. There are few (if any) doubled dies that include doubling in the front of the profile. Since it is in the relative central area of the dies, any rotation or displacement would show up the least on the bust and be more extreme as you go outwards. The only cases I can think of where doubled dies show strongest in the center are the doubled ears, but I believe that is because during die hubbing, the center is the first point to make contact.
