Hey everyone I have a weird coin that is boggling my mind. I scored a bunch of silver dimes from my local bank. While I was sorting them by looking at silver edges when I came across a 1967 Roosevelt dime but it has a silver edge. Has anybody seen this before?? I will attach all photos I took it doesn’t weigh like a silver dime so it’s confusing me. Thank you cosimo
Sometimes, during manufacture, the clad layers obscure or cover up the edge. It happens often enough to not be a valuable characteristic…imo…Spark
A dull blanking die can pull the clad layer completely across the edge of a blank and cover up the copper that usually shows.
