New stuff (ancients)

I picked this this one a while ago but he computer I used to upload crapped out on me so had to wait a while. I light for me set up also broke, and I got a camera for Christmas which I've be learning to use.

Amphipolis, Macedonia, AE21, ca. 187-31 BC. Diademed head of Poseidon right / AMFIPO-LITWN above and beneath club; HD and S monogram above, AN monogram below; all within wreath. AMNG III/2 26; SNG ANS 95 var. (monograms); SNG Cop 52 var. (ditto).

I sympathize with the camera issues. I'm having problems with focus too.

Congrats on the new coin-- not sure I've seen that one before!

 

Old pics were better, but it takes awhile to get used to a new camera. All you can do is practice and see what works best.

For me is cloudy skies next to my bathroom window, but since were having near 80 degree weather, I have no clouds >(

I actually like it cold, not sure about -24ºF but 30s/40s is how I enjoy it. I dont care for the heat.

AJ, Mat, Steve... you guys are nuts. The only good reason to live in a cold place is if there is snow. And mountains. With ski lifts. Even so, it's best to just vacation there

I live in Ohio. The snow is coming down like crazy.

It was only 80 degrees Fahrenheit here today. Just a tad chilly.

 

76 this morning with an expected high of 83 at my house. Perfect.

I very much like your new pictures - the focus seems to be a bit sharper too. I wish I could take picture like you do. I definitely need a new camera (as opposed to new coins) - but I have been saying that for years.

As for the weather - we flew to Mexico to escape the usually nasty european winter weather. Well, it was cold in Mexico too……almost colder than the unusually mild weather we are having in Germany. The enchiladas didn't suit me too we'll either, i am still having tummy aches. Other than that, it was a nice vacation.

 

I like Mexican food, but there is nothing near as good as hearty German food (now I've gone and made myself hungry).

 

Speaking of new coins. This snow storm I'm sure is going to delay my coin coming in, if it's on it's way.

Mexican food is great. I just went to a Mexican food shop the other day and picked up some barbacoa, corn tortillas and a bag of tamales.

 

Randy, great new pickups, looks like you get more snow there then we do in Wa. state. what kind of camera did you buy. For Christmas i got a new Cannon, i hooked it up to my old set up and couldn't get it to focus. i called my brother with is a wiz with camera's told me my camera as to close to the coin. So i added 12in. to the stand and now it focuses.now i need to learn how to turn it on...

it's currently -5 here as i post this (air temp...not wind, have steady moderate wind).
