Having coin in hand is worth 1,000 in the bush. I hope you get your ASE W coins. I was post number 3 $27 ASE Unc or $29 for a ASE Unc W. I should ordered a few, but I'm of school if looks to good something is wrong.
I can see them honoring the pre-sales from people that ordered them as a regular customer. I wouldn't expect them to have to go out in the secondary market and buy them to satisfy orders that were placed because of people trying to take advantage of a changing market. In my opinion, it would not be worth losing 20.00 or 30.00 per coin to satisfy people that were not regular customers and probably wouldn't be a customer again unless they could take advantage of a situation that only greatly benefited them.
sorry for sounding ignorant but how come at 27:50 it was a great deal? when we were getting it a couple of months earlier at about 17ish? the market price may may move even more but making 10 dolalrs of something costing 17 is an obscene amount of money in such ashort time frame. it beats the stock market by half. i bought some from the mint and i dont know if it was a mistake not buying more at 27. now usually i never sell coins just collect.
Email translation : Dear friend, Thank you for your recent purchase. Due to the popularity of these item(s), we have raised the price of this coin to what it should have been before you and the others discovered it. While we always try to have reasonably high prices we just missed the boat on this coin, and cannot honor any at that low price. Even though the coin cost us only $17 each, selling them for $29 per coin would have been a givaway to all of you so don't think you will ever get those coins [hahahaha]. We now have them on backorder and they will stay that way until you and your friends go away [hehehe]. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Signed, Scrooge

Sincerely, Customer Service Littleton Coin Company www.littletoncoin.com I am still rather skeptical. Rightfully so. I have be following several ebay auctions for the raw version. You can't touch these for under $30. However, if they are getting these from the Mint, then they will still make money but not near as much as market calls for on this coin.
A charge just showed up on my credit account for 148.45, i believe it is from littleton, I'll let you know. If so, My order for 5 went through.
Here is what my order says today "Your order was processed on 1/15/2007. It is now being packaged and should be shipped within 24 hours. Questions? Email Customer Service or call us toll free at 1-800-645-3122 Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM Eastern." Things are looking up! Freddypm
I just got the same message. Looks like they are on the way. My Dilemma - As a coin buyer/seller, how many do I sell, as a collector, can I get myself to sell ANY?
Got the same message today and they charged my credit card $148.45. I think I am going to hold on to these and probably get them graded by NGC for $12.50 a coin. With the low mintage and this being the first W minted uncirculated coin you will probably see some big demand when the 2007's come out in a few months. Actually the demand looks pretty darn good now!
Can it be true? Your order was shipped on 1/16/2007 via - USPS-Standard/3rd Class Mail Questions? Email Customer Service or call us toll free at 1-800-645-3122 Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM Eastern Hard to believe.... Now the dilemma begins. What to do with them? I will probably get them certified. I will hold on to them to see how they rank on mintage since this is the "inaugural" issue. These may rank differently in the silver eagle series. In other words, there is the proof issues, the bullion issues and now the uncirculated issues (reverse proof issues may also ensue/yet to be determined). Based on that, the '06-W Unc. still may be the new "key date" on any scale. Therefore, my opinion, a hold for now. No hurry to sell.....
I want to say thanks to Hllywood for the original post. I am an unemployed (it's winter) Tree Climber with 2 kids and my coin budget is very small, the only purchases I can make are really good deals like this. Please, anyone who sees a good deal like this, post it for us smaller collectors who can really benefit from a good deal.
My order was shipped today also, I'll post when I receive them and let you know if any are good enough to get certified. I've never sent a coin to get slabbed. I once bought a box (2000) of sacagaweas from the bank in mint rolls for face value and pulled out 20 or so that looked 69, but I never sent any in, just sold rolls on ebay for a $10-15 profit per roll.
