First box of halves for the year. 1-90%, 3-40%, 4-NIFC. A good box!

 

I pulled this 1961-D silver dime out of a bank wrapped roll.

Great way to start 2014.

 

My bank's vault manager has been on vacation the last 2 weeks and the last two weeks they have forgotten to order my coins. My last coin pick up was the 19th of December. Jonesing...

 

Good News...at least for me!

A bank called me today and said that I could come in anytime today and talk to a manager about ordering boxes of coins. I did...and the manager told me that it would be "absolutely no problem" to order coins for me. I asked if I needed an account, she said no. I asked if there would be fees with the orders, she said no. I asked if I could order on a weekly basis, she said yes.

She asked what I wanted and I said 2 boxes of half dollars per week. She looked up at me and said, "Okay, what else?" Although I was tempted to up that order, I resisted and said "nothing else". She said, "wow...I was expecting a lot more".

My first order will be in on Thursday of next week. I think I'll bide my time in January and if things go well, I'll ask to up that order and maybe include some nickel boxes. I just don't want to overload her and then cut me off like so many other local banks have done to me.

The funny thing is that this bank is "WoodForest Bank". Heard of it? Neither have I. There are no local branches in Indiana except for those inside Wal-Mart!

I can't wait to restart my CRH hobby!

 

Got the itch today since my bank has been failing at ordering me boxes the last few weeks.

Not too shabby I don't think.

 

$150 CWR dimes - 1943, this was especially unexpected for my first silver of the year seeing as I didn't find a single merc all last year. CND - 68, 11 (68 was not the silver type).

1963D Roosevelt at work today. First silver of the year!

 

Picked up $120 in CWR halves at lunch today. No silver, 3 NIFC.

 

Dumped my Saturday pick ups at my dump CU and decided to try a few new banks out. No halves but I got $550 dimes. Pulled out a nice AU 64d Roosie.

 

Box of nickels - 40-D, 45-S, 48-D, 2x65 (Unc) & 63 CAN.

 

$10.5 halves all 40%! the teller says theres more in the vault i can pick up tommorow

 

picked up the rest today $25 loose, 1x 40% and i recieved a grover cleaveland 24th prez dollar with weak edge lettering in change (i paid for the halves with a 20 and 3 2s)
