It might be of interest to report 2014 dated coins as you encounter them.
It could give us a clue as to when and where they are hitting circulation.
    I suggest reporting:
    -- date received
-- face value (cent, nickel, etc.)
    -- mint mark
    -- where found (city/town, state)
-- circumstances (change at a store, etc.)

  4. I think it is interesting to see the disbursement of the new coins. The only issue is they don't give me change when paying with my debit card. :)

    IMO that counts (sort of).
    I look at it like buying a 2014 car in Sept/Oct 2013.
Or January magazines coming out in November.

    But it's still a 2014 item.

$3.14 for bagel and coffee every morning. Puts $.84 in my pocket 5 days a week. Literally the only thing I pay cash for.

I purchased a 2014 Australian uncirculated set just before New Year's Day and they have been available for a few weeks. The set should arrive either January 2 or 3. Given the extensive coin program that comes from both the Royal Australian Mint and the Perth Mint, I suppose an early start cannot hurt.

2014? I still haven't seen any 2013 cents, nickels, or dimes and only one 2013 quarter. Heck I haven't seen any 2012 dimes yet, and only one 2012 quarter. (haven't seen any 2011 quarters and only 2 2010's) I expect my first 2014 cent to show up sometime around September.

Just got my first 2012 dime tonight.

East central Indiana, a small town 40 miles from any moderate sized city in any direction.
