I hate you!!! Those beauties are making me want to collect toned jeffs, and I really have never had the desire to collect nickels. All I need is another series to collect!! Thanks a million, Greg.
Oh heck with it just order one. Sellers pics http://www.pinnacle-rarities.com/index.php/inventory/nickel/1909-liberty-5c-pcgs-pr66.html
A picked up another cheap war nickel set that was described as "AU". Turns out they were just a little dirty and have some stunning luster. All were MS. I'll just show a few examples. This one stood out among it's brethren. Holy die polish lines Batman! Nice die chip on one of them also,
I just started on the memorials, but just found these. Are they rare? I dont really have the time to research these. Sorry.
1947 Canadian nickel, pulled out of a roll of American nickels. It is 12 sided, has the King on the obverse, and is magnetic due to the extremely high nickel content. A neat coin for sure.
The nickel coins in my 19th Century type set: 1871 3 cents, 1869 Shield nickel with a die crack from the shield to the rim at the lower right and two die cracks at the top just left of center from the rim to the devices, 1883 No Cents nickel a beautiful MS-65 example. .
