    definer definitely....! LOL

Doug, I might take a little exception to your comment. While I agree, on average that the coin "is a $15 coin," for that moment in time it was a $140+ coin. Will the person take a loss if it's sold in the future? Most assuredly. But consider that it may have been the one coin to fill out a dying child's, spouse's, parent's, or sibling's collection. What might be a $15 coin to all of us, was, apparently, much more than that to the high bidder.

    As usual, YMMV. :)

Been going on for a long time. Less clumsy than purchasing agents getting Season box tickets to football games or magical lottery wins of time shares in resorts. :)

I'd hardly consider $140 or $150 as "money laundering" and think its rather laughable that it was even brought up.

These are all for NGC slabbed examples. The PCGS ones all go for "normal" eBay prices around $30....

Given the fact that the second coin does not have a special slab label, I'm thinking that someone without a lot of knowledge just came into a lot of money.

    That's just nutz.

Thinking more of a laundering scheme type thing. I had someone ask me to bid on an eBay auction one time for a car. Just to get the bid up. I was shocked at him even asking me to do that. I refused but never forgot it..
