[Ancients] What is an acerra?

    Recently in Sear I saw a figure described as holding an acerra.

    What is it? I have looked in two dictionaries and on Wikipedia but can't find the definition.

    HELP!

In this case the word first takes you to the city Acerra but those wanting information on the person, the moth or the box have to click on the link to the disambiguation page.
