1972 no mint penny w/reverse printed smaller than normal.

    Both are 1972's. Normal one is a mint S on the left.

    Merely different dies used. :) Not an error. I think I see what you are talking about, but started getting dizzy from looking too hard I think...

    The coin on the right appears to have a sharper strike, as opposed to what appears to be a mushier strike on the left.

    ONE CENT is more spaced from the bottom which makes it smaller.

    I agree, those are from different dies. Nothing special. Good eye, though.

    As dies are used in striking coins, they do spread a small amount from the center out towards the rim . Normal due to age.

    If you keep on looking with such scrutiny, you are bound to find something in no time. :D Very nice eye and looking out for these things. Don't get discouraged. ;)

    BTW, coins are not "printed", they are "minted".

    most dies wear and spread a little with force... and psi... but there are different dies..and die presses

    Repolishing of the die can also result in slightly smaller lettering which can also make them further from the rim.
