    T^he 55-D is also machine doubling. Ejection Doubling if you will since the flatness occurs because the die has not cleared the coin before the ejection mechanism pushes the coin out of the coining chamber.

    Added value = zero

    Not that the cent itself has a value of zero its just that there is no added premium associated with machine doubling "unless" it is very dramatic AND someone wants it.
