1936 dd?

    I only see doubling in the date? The last two shots are a different coin.

    No, no characteristics of any of the 3 main DDO for that year. MD.

    Here is a photo of my 1936-DDO-1. Notice the doubling is rounded and about the same height as the the other portion. I put some green arrows on to help. Type DDO-2 looks similar but it has a "peg leg" R in LIBERTY.[​IMG]

    I'm not sure yet, mine looks to be doubled almost perfectly on top of the other

    If both parts of your date were the same height ( or very close to it) rather than one normal and one flattened, and also notice on mine how the date seem to be much thicker due to the doubling whereas yours doesn't.

    nice find I have one it was quite awkward didn't match any of the cpg listings but it was on coppercoins.com

    wrong kind of doubling , this one looks to be MD because of the flat shelf doubling

    MD. Usually the term is reserved for die deteriorated 1955 P cents, not these.

    All the coins you have posted thus far in the thread show mechanical doubling and have little to no numismatic value.
