I suspected as much. This is the first star note that I have found. I just happened to notice the star. Neat find.
http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/stars/lookup you can see how many were made in ur series
I found another one. 2 star notes in 3 days. The first two I have ever found. I should look at the paper money closer.
I would imagine that if you looked at your bills more closely that you'd find all kinds of notes including stars, radars, repeaters, low serials. The supply is constantly being renewed. there's always new finds out there, but you have to look.
Radar notes and repeater notes are just as the names suggest I love radar notes as they 'bounce' to me. A radar note would consist of the following serial: 12344321 A repeated would be something like: 12341234 or 54315431 They are just interesting pieces, and can fetch a premium if the numbers are right (e.g. 00011000)
I just found this one, a series 2013 $5 bill: What is it worth? I don't particularly like the new $5s so I might sell or trade it.
Another star note, a Series 2004 $20 bill. I didn't start looking for star notes until last week and now I've found 4.
And another Series 2013 $5 star note, my third of the week. I've also found 3 $1 star notes and 1 $20 star note in the last seven days.
